no more for the SEASON!?!?

ok...tuesday night i came home - all ready to mow the grass and weed-eat (not sure how to spell that so we'll go with it...) I didn't want to fix dinner - I was hot (so typical right?) and just wanted to go out and "be" one with the grass... I never understood why my mom LOVED with a capital "L" mowing the grass? We had a half acre lot which was pretty substantial in the suburbs, but never seemed like it was undoable when it came to mowing... WELL now i totally realize why my mom loved it - no one bothers you while you mow. Its like you are in/on a different planet/ world... and for mom's with little kids (or kids of any age for that matter) this is a very special time - i mean how many of us with kids can even go to the bathroom by ourselves and have FIVE MINUTES of quiet before one of them screams "MOM WHERE ARE YOU?"... no one does this when you are mowing...they see you walking around, occasionally making faces because grass gets in your face/nose, but not once will they come bother you, ask you any questions...even with my 2 year old all i get is an occasional thumbs up (which totally melts my heart!) or a wave... but as small as our yard is (and let me say - 45 minutes is stretching the mowing) i still love doing it! And back to my initial story -- Tuesday night --> Well i didn't get to mow, which was fine, but i thought i'd help and do the weed-eating...well i kept getting a stiff pain in the upper right hand side of my belly...not a contraction i don't think because it was so localized and as soon as i sat down on the lawn chair to relax it went away...so i didn't really get to finish the weed-eating! and later that night when curt asked if i was okay and told him about the pain he basically revoked my mowing privledges for the rest of the season..."you can take over in the fall...okay?" yeah cuz fall mowing is sooo the same:( oh well i guess it's better than nothing - maybe once the baby comes and i get cleared from the doctor? that'd be mid-late august...that's still summer right? so now i have two dates to focus on... first and foremost - July 1st - baby #2 comes into the world... and then mid-august (Aug. 15th!) i get to take back "MY TIME" of mowing... you have to have something to look forward to right? goals? even weird, small goals are important:)
