funny conversations

Mark comes home all smiles from school on his birthday ->
Mark: Momma wanna hear my birthday song?
Me: Sure!
Mark: This is your birthday song.  It isn't very long!

Sang this all night... thought he was so funny!

Later on... but still out of the blue...
I am laying on the couch watching my ever loved food network.  Noah comes over touches my foot.
Noah: Momma you know when you go to that toenail place?  They can remove that scratchy stuff.  (as he touches my heel).
Me: Oh yeah?  I know they can - I haven't gone in a while.
Noah: Can you have them do that to you?  Please.

Curt: It will just come back Noah...
Noah: (frowning) - Really? Why?

**if anyone has $30 to share I'll go get my little issue taken care of straight away...otherwise don't touch my heel?

noah'isms

picking up Noah from school the other day - he's always very sad when I pick him up as he never wants to leave the "party", but today we were walking out to the car and this is the conversation we had:

Noah: momma my head hurts from the talking...
Me: what?  what do you mean - what talking, who talking?
Noah: the girls momma, they talk so much, i can't take it
Me: the girls talk a lot? what do they say?
Noah: (moving his hands in an exasperated way) - i just can't momma, it's TOO much!  can we just be quiet, have some no-talking time?
Me: (trying really hard not to explode with laughter) sure buddy, we'll just have quiet.
...barely a minute goes by...
Noah: Momma can we go to the fair tonight?
Me: shhh i thought we were having no talking time
Noah: (whispers), Momma can we please go to the fair?

guess i am not one of those "talk-to-much" girls - :)

noah-isms

Went to Cherry Berry, local server yourself frozen yogurt place.
Noah: Oh momma we forgot syrup!
Me: Oh darn it...maybe next time?
Noah: Well we could just pay again, I could go squirt some and you could pay again (with his face nodding and eyelashes batting at me).
Me: Uh yeah?  Pay again...how bout next time?
Noah: Oh momma you are no fun - syrup is the best!

Driving down the road to dinner...
Noah: (signing a song from Vacation Bible School), "on an amazing desert journey, with Jeeeeeesus!"
Mark: Jeeeesus!
Noah: Mark what do you like about Jesus?
Mark: Jesus!!
Noah: Mark what do you like about him?
Mark: JESUS!
Noah: Do you like saying his name?  Is that what you like about him?
Mark: Yes!

noah-isms

i should have started this a LONG time ago... the funny things Noah says...he's pretty funny...

last night Noah asks Curt to help him in the bathroom...
Curt: whatcha' need buddy?
Noah: Daddy can you help me wipe?
Curt: oh?  need some help huh?
Noah: yeah it's been one of those days...

We wanted to say to him..."Oh yeah, dealt with a lot of sh&T today?  Yeah me too".  maybe when he's 15!

Driving to school today...
Noah: Momma I think I'm going to get a job...
Me: oh yeah?  what happened with you working at Dillon's with Uncle Chris?
Noah: well momma that wasn't real, really and Chris said he doesn't really have anything for me to do right now so I'm on vacation from that job for a while.
Me: well I guess you better get something else in the works huh?
Noah: yeah i think i'm going to be a police officer.
Me: oh yeah?  are you going to drive the police car?  would you get a police dog?
Noah: yeah the car!  how do you turn on the siren?  you know like the policeman we saw at your race?
Me: well i think you just flip the switch?  like turning on the radio - its a button you push.
Noah: yeah that seems pretty easy - i like to push buttons

A little backstory to the Dillon's story... it all started I think when Noah and Curt went to the KState Spring football game and went to the Dillons in Manhattan to get Noah a new shirt.  He became consumed with Dillons..."it's the best, they have the best food, nice t-shirts for me, etc".  Well some time - not sure when - Noah started telling us he was working at Dillons fixing things...anything that someone would bring in - its been all sorts of things, tv's, computers, baseball gloves and bats...seems to be whatever Curt or I are talking about or have been dealing with at home...THEN we find out my brother (Uncle Chris) is his boss and he's super nice and let's him have a lunch break and take a day off when he needs to.  He is serious as a heart attack about it and loves to talk about it...so not sure what happened about Chris laying him off for a while - i mean really Chris?! HAHAHA :)
