Today was my first day back at work (literally in the office). Technically I was back at work last thurs-friday, but I worked from home so it doesn't really count I guess? Whatever I answered the phone and responded to emails - same diff!
So I felt pretty nervous about today - this morning really...I didn't sleep very good at all...sort of like the night before Christmas where you are so anxious and nervous and you just can't relax...which totally stunk because my wonderful husband got up for all the feedings in the middle of the night...
Let me tell you...it was nothing to get Noah ready - as long as I had the chocolate milky ready by 6:30am he was good - I could get myself ready, he'd watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and we'd get him dressed right before we left to go to daycare, but NOW I have two to get dressed, milk drank, me dressed / hair did / make up on...
I made Curt stay home today so I'd have another set of hands in case I went ape s&*% and started screaming... ha! how'd you guess? Well of course I screamed...did you REALLY think I wouldn't freak out? of course little Mr. Mark wanted to eat again at 6:30 only after eating at 4:30 and by god did he let us know - screamed bloody murder - the scream that turns his little head redder than a kidney bean...the scream that makes him sweat...yep that scream that once he's done eating he konks out because he's so exhausted...- I hadn't even eaten yet?!
The only positive thing about this morning was that I had EVERYTHING pre-packed - lunch, check, diapers/wipes/check for Jennie/formula - in a bag, check...I did come to a new realization...er a new rule in the morning routine - now the boys will also have their clothes laid out ready for the next day so I'm not scrambling around looking for matching outfits (shirts and shorts not the both of them, puh-lease - I know you were thinking it - I am not that cool/stylish of a mom!)
So thank god for Curt to remain calm (as always)...grab a bottle and jump in and feed Mark. Thank god for my parents setting a good example and making me learn the importance of being prepared = laying stuff out the night before, packing a lunch the night before.
Once again a rambling post means nothing without pictures... We look pretty good if I do say so myself - everyone had had their milky this morning! :) Hope tomorrow goes as smooth - Curt has to go back to work so I am on my own... if you hear screaming just ignore me...I'll get over it...eventually!
