to infinity and beyond...via I-70

holy moly...what a trip...i can't believe we did it...but we did...it was long...sometimes arduous...sometimes there was crying and whining...sometimes there was sleeping...but there was always singing.... can you even imagine where we've been?  Let's see if good ol' John Denver can help you figure it out...!

Yep that's right.  We drove 9+ hours from our lovely, comfortable home to the Rocky Mountains of Denver, CO.  Ok well we didn't drive 9+ hours in one day, but the hours we did drive felt like 9+ hours!  Fortunate for us we stayed with my cousin and her family at the hotel Banninger...it was so nice, Noah got to run around and play, Mark got to run around and play and Curt and I got to enjoy peace!

The reason we went to Denver was for my brother in-laws School of Dentristry graduation...can you believe it...we have a HVAC man in the family who is married to a nurse, who has a brother who is a doctor, who is married to a super smart teacher with the patience of Ghandi, who has a brother in-law that knows everything about every electronic device known to man and can fix just about anything you throw at him...nice family huh!?  yeah their mine...every last one of 'em...see how well we fit together below...

I am not really sure what happened here...I just said to the cameraman (Brandon, Teal's brother in-law), "ok now let's do a funny one"...and every Wilson in the pic (except for the littlest) decided, funny = stick your tongue out...isn't that funny!?  Must be something with the Wilson's!

This picture was taken on Echo Lake and it was very pretty, but a little cold, yep May 29th and it was about 50 degrees...snow was still present on some parts of the lake.

We did have a little rough patch driving down the mountain, as Denver is approximately 5,280 feet above sea level (get it Mile-High city) and by the time we got to the Mt. Evans entrance station Mark wasn't feeling real well...sort of spit up a bit...the roads were a bit windy, but I didn't think much of it.  Well coming back on the backside, going through Evergreen, CO again it was very windy (not windy, wind like a clock) and Noah threw up...boy that was super fun...I think I jumped out of the car before Curt even had it stopped and cleaned up the mess...this I also think is a Wilson trait as Gma Wilson said she felt queasy too...oh well...he said he felt better afterwards so that was all that mattered :)

We drove back and again stopped in Salina at my cousin's house and this time hotel Banninger had wine waiting for me... the hostess-with-the-mostest is an angel and had wine chilled waiting for consumption...it was almost as if she knew i would need it...not that i sent her a text message earlier in the afternoon requesting that she get some...HA!

Two things I learned from this trip:
1.) We Wilson's can do anything, we may whine, we may cry, but by GOD we will get it done!
2.) We can do anything, therefore Hawaii here we come!

Oh and here's a proof that the doctor really did graduate and that we really did attend!!
