35th birthday! and an update!

** note - this was written end of January initially, but just now getting back to it... whatever right!?


So almost end of month and lets talk about my 35th birthday... always a day late and a dollar short...oh well.

Curt did me well this year - had everything set up, organized, planned - JUST LIKE I LIKE IT:)
He called my bff and asked her if they wanted to have dinner with us... show up to the restaurant and surprise me...  Well we get there early, like 30min early and its not even 5min from their house so of course I say - 'let's just run by and say hello...they might not even be there...let's just say hi...it'll only take a few minutes...'  So we get there - her parents are there and  I ask them how they were doing and what was up for tonight - she smiles and says "we're babysitting because they are going out."  I asked where and basically ran inside - thinking I could talk them into going with us!  Well I get inside and ask what their plans were and she says "we're going out, we've got a hot date, reservation and all"...i said "oh jeez where?  do you want to come go with us instead?"...she says "7:15pm...it's at the Tavern..."  I basically squeal "We are going there too!", and look at Curt, "isn't ours at 7:15pm?"...well of course I'm a dork and basically ruin the surprise of them coming with us, but it all turned out okay...  Just can't let things happen on their own...have to get in and stir it up a bit :)

The Tavern was very nice.  I had a huge pork chop, chorizo/chive mashed potatoes and asparagus...it was lovely...  Curt had an awesome cuban sandwich that I would for sure get again next time..."next time" - hopeful aren't I?

Then we went to what I am really hoping is going to become a tradition for my birthday - to McCormick and Schmick's for the 'chocolate bag'....it is so wonderful - literally a bag shaped piece of chocolate with vanilla cream inside and berries... it is so so so good.

On a side note, but also during the same week as my birthday - we had Seth's 2month check up.  Here are the details:

Weight - 12 lbs 12 oz, 75%
Length - 24 inches, 90% (come on 6-footer!)
HC  - 15 inches, (50%)
